Reserved Matters Approval for 359 Dwellings at Lichfield Road, Stafford
In May 2023 Claremont Planning secured reserved matters approval for 359 dwellings on the Former Alstom site in Stafford for Bellway Homes (West Midlands).
This brownfield site was highly constrained but presented an opportunity to deliver family housing including affordable dwellings close to Stafford Town Centre.
Claremont managed the preparation and submission of the application and ensured that it was validated swiftly. Following submission, we liaised with the case officer and statutory consultees helping to overcome objections in respect of design and highways through advancing revisions to the scheme and in particular, providing additional tree planting and environmental enhancements including 114% biodiversity net gain. Securing an Officer recommendation, Claremont presented to Planning Committee and secured consent to enable the delivery of this site.
